With Patric Hornqvist and Colin Wilson both heading to Injured Reserve, that means each will be out of action for at least seven days from the date of injury (Friday vs. Edmonton for Hornqvist, Saturday vs. Minnesota for Wilson).

Putting Hornqvist & Wilson on IR reduces the Preds' Active Roster to 21 players (out of a maximum of 23). It sounds like Brandon Yip was practicing with the team today, so he may be eligible to come back off Injured Reserve in time for tomorrow's game at Dallas (UPDATE: Yip has now been activated). That leaves room for one more addition, for example by calling someone up from Milwaukee. Matt Halischuk is already on the Active Roster, as he has returned from his conditioning stint with the Admirals.
